Why do I keep having such crazy/epic dreams?!
January 4th, 2009I had yet another one of my dreams today… o.O;; I hadn’t been feeling too well (caught a bug or something), so I took a long nap. And this dream is the kind of dream that was so epic that I’m strongly considering including it in my webcomic at some point as a side plot to the main storyline. SO ANYWAY. 8D
The setting was some kind of Silent Hill-esque, rainy, gloomy city and I was seeing through the eyes of a lonely girl who had taken her own life, unable to cope with her wretched existence. However, because of her ultimately self-destructive deed, she was stuck in a sort of Limbo between worlds as a ghost. No one could see or hear her, (which wasn’t much different from what it was like for her in life) and to top it all off, there were demonic-like ghosts now looking for her, to punish her for all eternity!!
…Or something like that.
So she was constantly on the run, moving from place to place to avoid capture. One late, foggy night, she had been sitting on the side of the road next to a convenience store, where one lone man worked. He stood outside, locking the place up, when she started to hum quietly to herself — And of course, he heard her! (cliché, much?) But before she could reach out to the man, the demonic ghosts had found her, and were coming to snatch her away. She made a run for it, trying desperately to lose them at every corner. She had succeeded for the time being…
The very next evening, she returned to the convenience store where she found the man humming her tune, searchingly and hoping. Bewildered, the girl approached, and joined him in song. They both shared this clinging moment of acquaintanceship, before introducing themselves to one another. Though he could not see her, he heard her melodious voice. For the first time in her life, she felt a great sense of belonging and comfort… If only she could have found that in life, amirite??!
So, she tells the man of her trials with the demonic ghosts that are after her, and how she is constantly on the move for fear that they might seize her into the fiery depths of Hell. He tells her not to worry; that he would find a way for her. And, wouldn’tcha know it… The two end up falling in love.
I woke up at some point as they were saying their good byes, because (again, wouldn’tcha know it) they had managed to catch her.
All in all, it was a very sad dream. LOL. I woke up with a sense of eagerness… I really gotta get this printed into the plotline. What do you guys think?
I’m pretty sure this is one of my most… serious dreams, to date. o_O;; I fail @ telling it all serious-like in my blog however.
Haha. I promise it won’t be presented quite so dryly if I include it in my works. I’m also more than a little interested in the inclusion of a little side-story like this, if only on the sole basis that it came to me in a dream…
How cool would that be? Haha…
So yeah. Comments/Suggestions? ? =]
